Week In Photos ~ Week 28

Easter baskets for all the girls

Below: Concentrating hard at reading & vocabulary

Egg dying - "someone" bought brown eggs instead of white,

but, they turned out pretty good anyway!

 Time to paint

Individual field trips

One third grader went to the Kennedy Space Center

Our 6th grader and teacher went to Wild Adventures.

We learned that there is a butterfly that looks furry (like a moth)

and saw the effects of "force" in action with quite a few rides!

Another 3rd grader was able to spend some time on the farm

and enjoyed a camp fire.

Week In Photos ~ Week 16

Posting in reverse order from the week because we are the MOST excited about our first field trip of the school year! Sweet Pete's Candy Shop. Read all about it in a separate special Sweet Pete's post.

Below- Sea Salt Caramels- Sweet Pete's most popular candy.

They really are the best caramels!

I've tried caramels from a lot of places and none compare to these.

200 pounds of dark chocolate. This vat can hold about 450 pounds.

 Making our specialized chocolate bars.

Apparently, third graders like pop rocks on their chocolate bars.

 Hemming Plaza

 They designed a "fountain".

Everyone enjoyed traveling on the Skyway across the river to Hemming Plaza.

We got to see our two ballerinas show off their skills in a few classes this week.

During recess, they came up with their own version of Little Red Riding Hood.

They performed it for me in costumes they created. It was great!

Not so bad, but maybe our least favorite was the trip to the orthodontist.

It's hard to compete with Sweet Pete's, Charlie Brown Christmas, and dance parties. This little cookie is preparing for an expander and partial braces. Stay tuned for week 17 excitement!
