Week In Photos ~ Week 26

Our favorite teacher (okay, our only teacher) gave us some fun St. Patrick's Day socks... because It's March!!
For the month of March, our students will document their chapter books and the Coleman Academy for Girls will donate $1 per book read to the Kiev Christian Academy, a school for missionary kids in Kiev, Ukraine. We will post our totals each week. This week, we have a total of 5 chapter books completed. Our 6th grader was our major contributor with 3 books and our 3rd graders each read 1. I think we are off to a great start!

As you can see, teacher's Monday started off quite well thanks to a special parent being very generous with my favorite drink! Oh, and we had an orthodontist visit. Bonus for homeschoolers: school can happen anywhere!

Below are our word maps for Vocabulary Lesson 13.

These poems were just for fun to get us in the poetry mood.

 Funny, clever Haiku!

One of our 3rd graders really shined during piano lessons in week 26!
